India’s IT industry is at an inflection point, where it is playing with many trends. Statista estimates that the IT industry generated over 196 billion U.S. Dollars in revenue in India in 2021. These are the top 10 IT companies in India that will be hiring IT workers by 2023.

Tata Consultancy Services

Tata Consultancy Services, an Indian multinational information technology consulting and services company, is based in Mumbai. It is part of the Tata Group and operates in 149 countries. Between April and December 2021, TCS promoted 110,000 employees.

The company employs more than half a million people, including 200,300 women. India’s largest IT services firm is aiming to generate $50 billion by 2030. To increase efficiencies, it may restructure its operations.

Accenture

Accenture plc, a multinational professional services company with headquarters in Ireland, specializes in consulting and information technology services. It is a Fortune Global 501 company and reported a revenue of $50.54 billion for 2021. Accenture’s double-digit growth in “all markets, industries, and services” has led to an increase in its revenue growth projections for 2019.

Cognizant

Cognizant, a global leader in information technology, business process outsourcing, and consulting services, is dedicated to helping top companies build stronger businesses. New Jersey-based Cognizant is committed to retaining talent through promotions, higher bonuses, and investing in employee training and development.

Infosys

Infosys Limited, an Indian multinational IT company, provides outsourcing, business consulting and information technology services. The company was established in Pune and has its headquarters in Bangalore.

Infosys is working to address the huge talent shortage in the IT industry by onboarding more than 1.2 million users through its digital reskilling platform. Infosys has already hired over 55,000 college graduates for FY22, and plans to hire even more in FY23.

Capgemini

Capgemini, a multinational French information technology services and consulting firm, is French. It is located in Paris, France. This year, the French ITmajor plans to hire more than 60.001 employees in India.

Capgemini employs approximately half its workforce in India. The company is seeking to develop solutions that can be exported. Capgemini will invest more in emerging technologies such as quantum computing, synthetic biology, and the metaverse. It also plans to work on enterprise-grade 5G solutions.

Wipro

Wipro Limited, an Indian multinational corporation, provides business process and information technology services. In an effort to speed up research into regenerative medicine, Wipro Limited recently acquired Edgile, a cybersecurity company based in the United States.

Wipro launched a program called “Return-to-Work” last year that is targeted at women who want to restart their careers after a career break. Wipro will hire approximately 30,000 new employees in fiscal 2023, an increase of 17,523 from FY22.

IBM

International Business Machines Corporation, an American multinational technology company, is headquartered in Armonk (New York), and has operations in more than 171 countries. To expand its hybrid cloud consulting capabilities, the tech giant has bought around 20 companies in recent years.

IBM intends to hire and expand outside of metropolitan areas as it seeks to broaden its talent pool. IBM has a 2022 growth strategy that focuses on the creation of development centers that will help it grow its software portfolio.

HCL Technologies

HCL Technologies, an Indian multinational information technology services company and consulting firm, is headquartered in Noida. HCL Enterprise is its subsidiary. To meet the gap in demand and supply of tech talent, it is almost double its fresher hiring goal from approximately 22,000 in FY22 down to 40,001-45,001 for FY23.

As a retention measure, the company introduced a 5-year compensation transparency roadmap for new employees and mid-level managers. The company launched two 5G apps last month, both built on the Augmented Network Automation Platform.

Larsen & Toubro

Larsen & Toubro Ltd (or L&T) is an Indian multinational conglomerate with interests in engineering and construction, manufacturing technology, financial services, and other areas. It is headquartered in Mumbai. It is one of the top five largest construction companies in the world. Larsen & Toubro launched an app-based learning platform last year, which is aimed at creating industry-ready talent.

Deloitte

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited is commonly known as Deloitte. It is a multi-national professional services network that has offices in more than 155 countries and territories. Nearly 15% of Deloitte’s 345,421 employees live in India.

The professional services company estimates that this number will reach 25% within three years. To increase workforce diversity and provide flexibility for employees, the company plans to reach Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
