Top 5 Worst Candies for Your Health

Candies are a fun way to reward yourself for getting through your day. Unfortunately, you may be eating tons of sugar and fat when you bite into one of these candies.

1. The Russell Stover Chocolate Bunny –

This Easter, everyone should avoid the Chocolate Bunny. Although it may look appealing, the 1.5 oz bunny has 240 calories and 126 calories from fat.

This chocolate bunny is loaded with 23g sugar and should be shared between siblings over the course a few days. To burn all the calories, you will need to walk more than an hour to get this bunny down in one sitting.

2. Cadbury Egg –

Although the Cadbury Egg is a popular Easter treat, they are not very healthy for you. Hersey’s website states that a Cadbury Creme Egg contains 20g sugar and 150 calories. Caramel eggs have 20 more calories. To burn calories, you should walk for 44 minutes or jog for 19 mins, or swim for 14 mins.

3. Assorted Miniature Chocolates –

While it might seem healthier than eating a whole bar of chocolates, the calories in a handful of miniature candies can quickly add up. Miniature Snickers, not to be confused with the “fun-sized bars”, have 43 calories.

These mini candy candies can be packed in a single Easter egg. It’s possible to fit up to three of them, but it’s easy for people to get carried away and have too many. If you eat 5 mini chocolate bars during Easter weekend, it will take almost an hour to run on the treadmill.

4. Jelly Beans –

Jelly beans are similar to peeps. However, jelly beans can be very bad for you if there are only one or two. Let’s face it, who can eat one jelly bean at a time? A small jelly bean has 4 calories and 1g sugar. Larger jelly beans have 11 calories and almost 3g sugar.

It’s easy to see that a handful can add up to over 100 calories and half of your daily sugar intake. To burn those calories, you will need to walk for half an hour just to eat 10 large jelly beans.
